bdd2eae1f5 dbus: disable assertions and enable only modular tests
There was a report that enabling assertions and all tests results in
notices in log.do_configure:

NOTE: building with unit tests increases the size of the installed library and renders it insecure.
NOTE: building with assertions increases library size and decreases performance.

This was overlooked when dbus and dbus-tests recipes were merged;
enabling all tests and assertions still requires a special, separate
build of dbus. If those tests are useful this could be revisited.
Until then, we should use productions settings for the main recipe.

e5532f1132 dbus: upgrade 1.14.4 -> 1.14.6
Denial of service fixes:

• Fix an incorrect assertion that could be used to crash dbus-daemon or
  other users of DBusServer prior to authentication, if libdbus was compiled
  with assertions enabled.
  We recommend that production builds of dbus, for example in OS distributions,
  should be compiled with checks but without assertions.
  (dbus#421, Ralf Habacker; thanks to Evgeny Vereshchagin)

Other fixes:

• When connected to a dbus-broker, stop dbus-monitor from incorrectly
  replying to Peer method calls that were sent to the dbus-broker with
  a NULL destination (dbus#301, Kai A. Hiller)

• Fix out-of-bounds varargs read in the dbus-daemon's config-parser.
  This is not attacker-triggerable and appears to be harmless in practice,
  but is technically undefined behaviour and is detected as such by
  AddressSanitizer. (dbus!357, Evgeny Vereshchagin)

• Avoid a data race in multi-threaded use of DBusCounter
  (dbus#426, Ralf Habacker)

• Fix a crash with some glibc versions when non-auditable SELinux events
  are logged (dbus!386, Jeremi Piotrowski)

• If dbus_message_demarshal() runs out of memory while validating a message,
  report it as NoMemory rather than InvalidArgs (dbus#420, Simon McVittie)

• Use C11 _Alignof if available, for better standards-compliance
  (dbus!389, Khem Raj)

• Stop including an outdated copy of pkg.m4 in the git tree
  (dbus!365, Simon McVittie)

• Documentation:
  · Consistently use Gitlab bug reporting URL (dbus!372, Marco Trevisan)

• Tests fixes:
  · Fix the test-apparmor-activation test after dbus#416
    (dbus!380, Dave Jones)

Internal changes:

• Fix CI builds with recent git versions (dbus#447, Simon McVittie)

7367324055 dbus-test: merge into main dbus recipe
The reason it was separate is that there is a peculiar circular
dependency: dbus tests require glib, while some of glib's gdbus tests
require dbus. So dbus was built with tests disabled and without glib
dependency, then glib was built with dbus dependency, then dbus was
built again with glib dependency and tests enabled, only for the purpose
of installing those tests. I find that brittle and hacky, so this
removes dbus dependecy from glib (the fallout is that some gdbus tests
are no longer being executed), and dbus and its tests are built once,
after glib. Conversely, dbus is now dependent on glib for the purpose
of building the tests.

Also, dbus ptest installation is no longer using custom code, and dbus
run-ptest simply uses standard installed tests execution mechanism from
gnome.

8ff845c9ba dbus_%.bbappend: stop using selinux_set_mapping
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/dbus/dbus/-/issues/198
6072f8b241

Currently, if the "dbus" security class or the associated AV doesn't
exist, dbus-daemon fails to initialize and exits immediately. Also the
security classes or access vector cannot be reordered in the policy.
This can be a problem for people developing their own policy or trying
to access a machine where, for some reasons, there is not policy defined
at all.

The code here copy the behaviour of the selinux_check_access() function.
We cannot use this function here as it doesn't allow us to define the
AVC entry reference.

71cc4c0c00 meta: Clean up various class-native* RDEPENDS overrides
With PACKAGES functioning more correctly for native recipes combined
with classextend improvements over the years, there are various overrides
of RDEPENDS which look unecessary now, clean them up.

There some some minor changes in dependencies, specifically:

"python3-numpy-native.do_populate_sysroot" -> "python3-native.do_populate_sysroot"
"python3-mako-native.do_populate_sysroot" -> "python3-native.do_populate_sysroot"
"itstool-native.do_populate_sysroot" -> "libxml2-native.do_populate_sysroot"

however there are already:

XXX-native.do_prepare_recipe_ssysroot -> YYY-native.do_populate_sysroot

mappings from DEPENDS so this is effectively a null op.

029c05595e dbus: split -common and -tools out of main package
Certain config files and units are shared between dbus-daemon and
dbus-broker (available in meta-openembedded), so split them out to
allow installing dbus-broker without pulling in dbus-daemon and its
dependencies.
Stand-alone command line tools can also be used regardless of whether
the buses are provided by dbus-daemon or dbus-broker, so split them
out into dbus-tools.
Finally, move the XML schema files out of the main package and into
the development package.

All these changes follow the same pattern used by Fedora, which was
one of the first distro to switch to dbus-broker by default:

44ae5d8d6f dbus,dbus-test: Move common parts to dbus.inc
dbus and dbus-test share the same source code and base configuration options,
so factor out the common parts into dbus.inc.

This way we can eliminate the need to keep the two recipes in sync. When they
are not properly in sync (e.g. when dbus recipe has extra patches/config
options that are not duplicated in dbus-test) ptest testsuite will actually
test a slightly different codebase. This is due to the fact that dbus-test does
not run the testsuite against the system libdbus library, but instead it
generates a local libdbus.so that needs to configured/compiled as close as
possible to the system one.

bdbf1a1575 dbus: drop unused group netdev
The whole D-Bus source has no reference to the netdev group. It
seems that the netdev group is nowhere used. Early avahi package
versions used this group for the D-Bus specific rules. However,
today avahi uses --with-avahi-priv-access-group=adm and hence
uses the adm group for its D-Bus policy rules.

If a package is using the netdev group in its D-Bus policy rules,
that package should add the group instead.

927e1549af dbus: Change path of system_bus_socket from /var/run/dbus/ to /run/dbus/
Fixed a warning message during startup caused by referencing the legacy
directory /var/run instead of /run. An extra parameter is passed to the
configure script to achiveve this. Upstream cannot provide a fix due to
another Linux distribution (Slackware) uses /var/run and /run as
different directories.

Refer to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/dbus/dbus/issues/282 for

9f005f0539 recipes: Fix license "names"/versions.
These were broken in commit 4786ecdf7cd427089464dcb62579110d494e7cd7
which performed a cleanup to avoid non-standard field names.

There is an SPDX License list at https://spdx.org/licenses/ which
aims to be a standard. Yocto also uses a substitution map SPDXLICENSEMAP,
default one stored at meta/conf/licenses.conf.

According to meta/conf/licenses.conf, "AFL-2" corresponds to "AFL-2.0"
which is not correct for dbus.

According to the same licenses.conf file "MPL-1" corresponds to "MPL-1.0",
which is correct for libical but since SPDX aims to be a standard
I am updating the identifier in libical's .bb file as well.

To verify the actual license used you can use:

a2084a0749 dbus-test: Improve ptest dependencies dependencies
The dbus-test package is empty, move its dependencies to the ${PN}-ptest
package. Also ensure that it doesn't depend on the empty ${PN} package
which is about to start causing image failures in the following commit.
In this case the correct dependency is dbus itself.

8216015a85 dbus: fix ptest failure
1. since one bug in run-ptest, testcase test-bus have never been
actually run (althrough it's result is PASS).

After commit 0828850, test-bus can actually run but it
did not install:
  test-service, test-shell-service, test-segfault, and
  dbus-daemon-launch-helper-test
Add the configure flag:
  --enable-embedded-tests
to generate binary dbus-daemon-launch-helper-test, then install
them so that test-bus will now pass.

2. fix testcase test-dbus-daemon failed
we enable --enable-verbose-mode in recipe dbus-test, and don't
enable it in recipe dbus. This will make below test code get
unexpect result of have_verbose and assert.
disable --enable-verbose-mode for recipe dbus-test to fix it.

 #ifdef DBUS_ENABLE_STATS
  g_assert_true (have_stats);
 #else
  g_assert_false (have_stats);
 #endif

[RP: Since the new test is slow dbus moves to the slow ptest list]
