0fb1ff0ffb busybox: Set PATH in syslog initscript
This script is not always called with /sbin and /usr/sbin in the PATH
already, for example when called via ssh. Explicitly set PATH to make
sure it includes /sbin and /usr/sbin since that's where start-stop-daemon
is located.

e223f7cbb1 busybox: udhcpc: fix 'ip route add' with multiple interfaces on the same network
The udhcpc script fails to properly set a default route when:

 - 'ip' is present ($have_bin_ip -eq 1)
 - there are 2 or more interfaces connected to the same network
(e.g. ethernet + wifi on the same home LAN / same DHCP server)

In this case, when the first interface gets an address from DHCP
(e.g. eth0), a default route is set correctly. When the second interface
(e.g. wlan0) gets its address, 'ip route add' without 'dev $interface' sets
the route on the other interface. The result looks like:

  # ip route
  default via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0 metric 5
default via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0 metric 10 # wrong dev here
  192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 scope link src 192.168.1.20
  192.168.1.0/24 dev wlan0 scope link src 192.168.1.30
  #

The situation might go unnoticed until eth0 is disconnected, because only
wlan0 is present but there is no route through wlan0.

Fix by explicitly passing "dev $interface" to 'ip route add'. Note that all
other 'ip' invocations already have "dev $interface" passed.

b4d44736da busybox: udhcpc: fix IPv6 support when using udhcpc
The udhcpc script calls ip addr flush .. which flushes addresses
of any address family, including IPv6. However, busybox udhcpc is
IPv4 only and should not influence IPv6 addressing. Hence use ip
addr flush with family constrait.

The script particularly broke IPv6 SLAAC: Typically when udhcpc
calls the script the kernel already assigned the IPv6 link-local
address. The flush removes the link-local IPv6 address again and
prohibits proper IPv6 operation such as SLAAC since neighbor
discovery protocol relies on IPv6 link-local addressing.

f72e95df33 busybox: ship a symlink farm for ptest
Ship a symlink farm for busybox, which correctly considers SUID
split. This ensures that all utilities used in busybox's test cases
will first use that ones that are provided by busybox.

Modify run-ptest to prepend the directory to PATH, and also change
variable name from current_dir to current_path, as the former is
a little misleading. `readlink -f $0' gets a path to the current

f3f4a5f29b busybox/mdev-mount.sh: Fix partition detect and cleanup mountpoint on fail
This fixes issues mainly seen when mounting eMMC devices:

The wildcard /sys/block/${DEVBASE}/${DEVBASE}*1 matches both "mmcblk0p1"
and "mmcblk0boot1" for example, and this results in syntax errors. Fix this
by searching for a "partition" file instead, which only exists for real
partitions and not 'fakes' like the eMMC extra's.

When mount fails, the mountpoint file is left behind, causing later attempts
at auto-mounting it to fail. If mount fails, remove the mountpoint, leaving
the system in the state as it was before the mount attempt.

a477fcd752 busybox: avoid circular dependency when using initramfs
The kernel does not automatically mount devtmpfs when using initramfs
based booting (even when using CONFIG_DEVTMPFS_MOUNT). If the rootfs
is built with USE_DEVFS=1 (which is the default), the system ends up
with a completely empty /dev to begin with.

Busybox uses the first entry in inittab slightly different than
other init systems:
<id>: WARNING: This field has a non-traditional meaning for BusyBox init!

The id field is used by BusyBox init to specify the controlling tty for
the specified process to run on. The contents of this field are
appended to "/dev/" and used as-is.

Since /dev/null is not there yet, Busybox throws errors instead of
executing the commands, and hence never mounts devtmpfs:
init started: BusyBox v1.24.1 (2016-09-04 11:53:14 PDT)
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory
can't open /dev/null: No such file or directory

Avoid this circular dependency by not specifing <id>. With that
Busybox ends up using the stdio of the init process and executes
the inittab just fine.

973c565a7e busybox-mdev: Support automatic mounting of block devices
Upon inserting a USB stick or similar device, mdev will run
an automounter script that mounts valid partitions on
/media/<device>. The script first checks /etc/fstab entries
so that mounting on UUID or LABEL or using custom mount options
is still possible. If /etc/fstab does not contain particular
mount options, the script will create (and remove) the mountpoint
automatically.
The script also supports full disk partitions (devices without
partition table).

The following environments can be set in /etc/default/mdev:
MDEV_AUTOMOUNT=n (Disables automounting completely)
MDEV_AUTOMOUNT_ROOT=/media (Change the mount root location)

Automatic mounting for a particular device can be disabled by
creating a file "/dev/<device>.nomount". This is helpful in
scripts that create partitions for example, and want to perform
specific actions which require the device to remain unmounted.

A more complex variation (using LABEL based mounts) on this script
has been in use in OpenPLi for many years now, and I've used this
one on many projects already, so it's about time to push this to
mainline.

acfe054e32 busybox: mdev: Ensure /dev/initctl exists after tmpfs mount
During boot, there is a brief window during which /dev/initctl is
missing, which breaks initscripts that would need to access it. This
occurs because /etc/init.d/mountall.sh (rcS.d/S02...) attempts to ensure
/dev/initctl is present, but /etc/init.d/mdev (rcS.d/S06...) mounts over
/dev and clobbers the work done by mountall, and then does not wait
synchronously until initctl is ready before continuing.

To close this window, in /etc/init.d/mdev, we check whether /dev/initctl
is present, and if not, we remove it and recreate it. This is the same
thing that is done by /etc/init.d/mountall.sh, and we have verified that
any writers of /dev/initctl will wait synchronously until sysvinit
notices the change in fd and does the read, so no race exists.

034790df8f busybox: mdev: Use mdev.seq
/dev/mdev.seq exists to synchronize concurrently running instances of
mdev and to ensure that they execute in the proper order. Without this
synchronization, it is possible to have inconsistent mount points, to
leak device nodes, or to have a node erroneously removed in rapid
hotplug scenarios.

Enable the use of mdev.seq by creating an empty /dev/mdev.seq at boot.

5454f92e57 busybox: update mdev.conf
busybox 1.21.1 's mdev has changed the way the device's name is
reported so now we get input/event0 instead of event0.
I think this commit is responsible of this new behaviour :
http://git.busybox.net/busybox/commit/util-linux/mdev.c?id=c3cf1e30a3022453311a7e9fe11d94c7a381640e

Update mdev.conf according to this behaviour so that sound
and input devices are correctly populated (and now
/etc/mdev/find-touchscreen.sh is executed).

Tested on an arm board.

101662d357 busybox-syslog: add configuration file /etc/syslog.conf
By default, busybox has CONFIG_FEATURE_SYSLOGD_CFG enabled, but it
doesn't ship a configuration file.

This patch adds a configuration file (/etc/syslog.conf) to the
busybox-syslog package. This configuration file mainly serves as a
placeholder now.

The advantages of this change are:
1. Make the users aware of the fact that the /etc/syslog.conf file
will actually be parsed by busybox's syslogd utility. And configuring
that file will change the logging behaviour.
2. In a systemd based system, this file will prevent the same configuration
file provided by the sysklogd package from messing things up.

b18b210c1e busybox: enable shared memory logging for systemd
The default command-line options for launching busybox's syslogd are
"-C" if using sysvinit; but because we use /etc/default/busybox-syslog
when using systemd which the sysvinit initscript doesn't use, and no
/etc/default/busybox-syslog is installed by default in OE-Core, the
default arguments with systemd were no arguments at all with OE-Core
alone. Effectively merge in the bbappend from meta-oe that adds a
default file in order to set the default options to "-C" for systemd as
well.

2ccbf35ed1 busybox:udhcpc: fix the root_is_nfs() function
[YOCTO #2788]

The system will be hung when udhcpc starts, if nfs is mounted
at "/" directory and default route is different after starting
udhcpc.

The cause is that root_is_nfs() does not work after kernel-2.6.37,
since the device name has been changed from /dev/root to
${IPADDR}:${NFSDIR} on /proc/mounts. which leads to remove
the default routes to nfs server,

Now we use a loose match to check if rootfs is nfs.
