1e7735e290 ref-manual, mega-manual: Updated the Image Creation figure
The old version was off schematically. Moved some boxes around
and created more detail to reflect technical correctness.

fded4fa2d2 ref-manual: Updated configuration of auto.conf in closer look
Fixes [YOCTO #8941]

Confusing wording existed surrounding how the auto.conf file
needs to be created. Early in the section indicates that you
must hand create the file. Then later, it indicates to not
hand-create it. In reality, this file is not auto-created by
any script but is really usually created by an autobuilder.
I updated the verbiage to better explain this.

a948f5252a bitbake: cooker: Allow BBMASK to contain multiple regular expressions
Before, BBMASK was only permitted to contain one regular expression.
This made it hard to add to the BBMASK in multiple places as one was
supposed to separate the different regular expressions with a "|"
rather than with whitespace as is customary in BitBake variables.

Now one can specify any number of regular expressions in BBMASK. This
makes it possible to, e.g., mask out recipes in another layer from the
layer.conf file.

This also properly ignores any regular expressions that do not compile
(before an invalid regular expression would cause a ParseError in the
first bbappend file found stating that it was not a BitBake file...)

9f22898e0f bitbake: fetch2/wget: fallback to GET if HEAD is rejected in checkstatus()
The core change here is to fall back to GET requests if HEAD is rejected in the
checkstatus() method, as you can't do a HEAD on Amazon S3 (used by Github
archives). This meant removing the monkey patch that the default method was GET
and adding a fixed redirect handler that doesn't reset to GET.

Also, change the way the opener is constructed from an if/elif cluster to a
conditionally constructed list.

8a2dfa1691 image.bbclass: check INITRAMFS_MAXSIZE
Usually, the initramfs' maxsize can be 1/2 of ram size since modern
kernel uses tmpfs as initramfs by dafault, and tmpfs allocates 1/2 of
ram by default at boot time, which will be used to locate the initramfs.

Set INITRAMFS_MAXSIZE to 131072K (128M) by default (ram 256M), the
initramfs is small usually, for example, core-image-minimal-initramfs is
about 21M (uncompressed, 17M * 1.3) by default, but if the user add a
lot pkgs to initramfs, we can error and stop to let the user know ealier
rather than fail to boot (e.g., OOM-killer) at boot time.

962cc37c53 systemd: make TEST_DIR configurable
1. make TEST_DIR configurable, and configure it to ptest dir, since
the *.service for test are installed into ptest dir.
2. always follow symbolic links in SOURCE when copy test files
to install dir, since some *.service under test dir are linked to
../unit/*.service which are not installed into ptest dir

cac47db9c5 uninative: handle UNINATIVE_URL being file:///
If the local fetcher is used then files are not actually fetched into DL_DIR, so
check if this happened and if required add a symlink to the real file.

bb971577ab meta/lib: new module for handling GPG signing
Add a new Python module (oe.gpg_sign) for handling GPG signing
operations, i.e. currently package and package feed signing. The purpose
is to be able to more easily support various signing backends and to be
able to centralise signing functionality into one place (e.g. package
signing and sstate signing). Currently, only local signing with gpg is
implemented.
