This reverts commit 4e692daf66d2c9d51d418706e20f4527505dc0bd. The patch did not take into consideration of read-only rootfs, causing the following regression. ERROR "The following packages could not be configured offline and rootfs is read-only: ['100-ifupdown']" The original patch was added to resolve problem running `ifup eth1' on a systemd based rootfs. However, when using systemd, we do not use ifup to manage our network interfaces. QEMU Emulation Targets ====================== To simplify development, the build system supports building images to work with the QEMU emulator in system emulation mode. Several architectures are currently supported in 32 and 64 bit variants: * ARM (qemuarm + qemuarm64) * x86 (qemux86 + qemux86-64) * PowerPC (qemuppc only) * MIPS (qemumips + qemumips64) Use of the QEMU images is covered in the Yocto Project Reference Manual. The appropriate MACHINE variable value corresponding to the target is given in brackets.
