When dhclient is used with ifupdown and in the /etc/network/interfaces file is something like e.g. "iface eth0 inet6 dhcp" the system does not boot but hangs at the after dhcp configuration of IPv4 at the stage where IPv6 should be configured. The reason seems to be, that ifupdown calls the dhclient in a blocking way which leads to a permanent block of the boot when no DHCPv6 server is available. QEMU Emulation Targets ====================== To simplify development, the build system supports building images to work with the QEMU emulator in system emulation mode. Several architectures are currently supported in 32 and 64 bit variants: * ARM (qemuarm + qemuarm64) * x86 (qemux86 + qemux86-64) * PowerPC (qemuppc only) * MIPS (qemumips + qemumips64) Use of the QEMU images is covered in the Yocto Project Reference Manual. The appropriate MACHINE variable value corresponding to the target is given in brackets.
