Recent kernels broke the ability of kconfiglib to parse the Kconfig files and offer reasons why a symbol may not be set. To address this issue, we update to Kconfiglib2 and adjust the symbol_why script to work with the new API. We also tweak the kconf_check script to allow the specification of a list of option as "non-hardware". This allows a BSP to inhibit warnings on options that it knows are mismatched for a valid reason (i.e. -tiny kernels using common fragments with known missing dependencies). QEMU Emulation Targets ====================== To simplify development, the build system supports building images to work with the QEMU emulator in system emulation mode. Several architectures are currently supported in 32 and 64 bit variants: * ARM (qemuarm + qemuarm64) * x86 (qemux86 + qemux86-64) * PowerPC (qemuppc only) * MIPS (qemumips + qemumips64) Use of the QEMU images is covered in the Yocto Project Reference Manual. The appropriate MACHINE variable value corresponding to the target is given in brackets.
