For the time being, there is a serious bug[1] in Go 1.10 when it comes to use the shared runtime support which cases problems in multiple projects. 1. https://github.com/golang/go/issues/24640 It is still unclear if the problem arises from a bug inside the compiler itself or it makes a real problem more visible. Either way, using 1.10 as default seems to be a risk so we are changing back to 1.9 for now. QEMU Emulation Targets ====================== To simplify development, the build system supports building images to work with the QEMU emulator in system emulation mode. Several architectures are currently supported in 32 and 64 bit variants: * ARM (qemuarm + qemuarm64) * x86 (qemux86 + qemux86-64) * PowerPC (qemuppc only) * MIPS (qemumips + qemumips64) Use of the QEMU images is covered in the Yocto Project Reference Manual. The appropriate MACHINE variable value corresponding to the target is given in brackets.
